For children attitude is everything, and they need all the encouragement they can get. Whatever the dream, no matter how big or small, it often gives the child hope and courage to carry on the fight. The Reach For A Dream Foundation is a Non-Profit Organization and is Empowerdex certified, with a 90.14% black beneficiary base, and a 100% BBBEE SED rating. The vision of the Foundation encompasses dream fulfilment for children between ages 3 to 18 who have been diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses such as cancer and leukaemia, cystic fibrosis and muscular dystrophy, kidney failure and blood disorders. Chantelle – 6 yrs. of age’s dream was to have a pink bike – which her dream was fulfilled on the 24<sup>th</sup> by Reach For a Dream Port Elizabeth Branch. She is currently fighting a life threatening illness – and her best treat was to eat out at Die ou Waenhuis which was also a big surprise for the mom as well as the grand mom too. She was so excited when she also received her big lindt bunny which when she’s standing it reaches knees and she just much the bunny’s ear off. As chocolates is one of her favourite treats. When she saw her bike revealed and with the help of Maryn de Klerk from Die ou Waenhuis to cycle she was super excited to do. Her day was made special in a beautiful way and she felt more than loved!!
