Bird Viewing
Murraysburg district is uniquely situated in the Western Cape Province but borders the Eastern and Northern Cape. The geographical area varies between six veld types, Eastern Lower Karoo, Eastern Upper Karoo, Gamka Karoo, Karoo Escarpment Grassland, Southern Karoo River and Upper Karoo Hardeveld. Camdebo Escarpment Thicket is on the edge of our border with Graaff-Reinet.
What all of this means is, that in our district you will find everything from the grass on the plains to some protea types in the mountains.
